Come join us and learn about the Hello Girls of the First World War I! When the United States entered the war in 1917, they found that telephone communications to and from the trenches were in shambles. To help cut through the difficulties, they put out a call for young women to volunteer to come and run the telephone switchboards. For many of the volunteers, this was their first time away from home. Learn how they impacted the later part of the war and how they had to fight for recognition when they got home.
