Dementia Caregiving 101 — Week 8: Who's Taking Care of You?
Monday, March 132:00—4:00 PMGallery B&C
Join us for an educational series of what to expect when caring for those with dementia or memory loss. The series is eight weeks long — feel free to register for one session, or all eight. This program is designed to equip family caregivers of individuals living at home.
For the final week of Dementia Caregiving 101, the session's topic is:
- All About the Caregiver - Who's Taking Care of You?
We highly recommend attending in person to take full advantage of this session.
This session will help caregivers by:
- Identifying the definition and aspects of self-care;
- Developing self-care as a habit, and creating a personal and practical plan;
- Learning how to overcome barriers to a healthier lifestyle;
- Developing a personal alarm system;
- Knowing when the “helper” needs help;
- Recognizing the dangerous correlation between self-care, professional burn-out, and personal health
