Friends of the Chatham Area Public Library will host a “Love Your Library” open house from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7 at the Friends Café and Bookstore.

“We want to encourage past members and newcomers to come be our Valentine!” said Friends president Julie Kaiser. “Enjoy a complimentary sweet treat, check out the Café and Bookstore and consider joining the Friends or renewing your membership to support the Library.”

Anyone who joins Friends or renews their membership that night will receive a coupon for a free book from the bookstore. Memberships help the Friends: provide summer and winter reading program prizes for kids and adults; sponsor the Friends of Genealogy group, Library on the Go, book club kits, art show and Teen Trivia Night prizes; support the Backyard @ the Library outdoor project; put on the annual March Murder Mystery and sell books at the July Sweet Corn Book Sale!
